    There ain't nothing better for newbie gardeners or the experienced than visiting established (national or local) gardens for inspiration and indeed plants :D Plus so much more including your butterfly centres

    So how about a garden visits section - or expand that to gotta visit places in the UK - only criteria reccommendation following the experience.

    i think that is a great idea but how about gardens at a certain time of year Isabella plantation in Richmond park in spring is magical if anyone has not seen it in late april is in for a suprise it holds the national collection of dwarf azaleas [only they are not that dwarf]it is like a huge exsplosion in a candy factory :D :D

    You all must visit Westonbirt near Tetbury and see the amazing autumn colours. :eek: . Especially if past years are anything to go by.

    Thats what I mean - and pictures to tempt would be lovely. Members recomendations, descriptions of what they enjoyed, plus or minus pictures would be nice.

    For example Anglesey Abby Gardens just outside Cambridge has not only the best herbaceous borders in Europe, but also has a spectacular winter garden - and if that is not enough, beautiful trees and walks - my favourite new to me tree, the tulip tree in full bloom.

    i really love that tree it is liriodendron tulipefera or something like that i am going to enjoy this link well done fran
