Hi I am looking for a new Lawn Mower,I presently have a Flymo Rotary which doesn't do a particularly good job. I had an old Qualcast Petrol Cylinder, which did but our Garden is too small and the Box in the front meant I missed a lot of areas due to the style of the Garden Ideally I need an Electric (or possibly petrol ) Cylinder (I don't want another rotary) with a Grass collection behind - does such a thing exist?
Thanks for the info, but just to clarify I am after a Cylinder Mower, Rear Collection with Roller,Rds.

I recommend the Haytor Electric Lawn Mower. They have several sizes to choose from. I have one and am very pleased with it. I tried a Flymo once and the mower had to be returned to the shop to to a product recall - it was dangerous.

    [IMG] Pat..
My neighbour has one of these Suffolk Punch ones & it is great, a tad heavy perhaps for the small garden..

I have one of these Qualcasts.. Nice & nippy & a reasonable size grass box..:thumb:

 I have one of those too Woo that I use up at the church as there is no power there & it is brilliant too.. This is my push one..
[IMG] I have to say it is brilliant because the handle is just a push fit so I can take it into 3 peices & put it in the car so easily..

:gnthb: I see they have this one now to..... I like it..!!

:rotfl::rotfl: Oh Woo...!!!!! :rotfl: Yes mine is the first but I am intrigued by the 2nd one & now I have just discovered this one which is very interesting.......
[IMG] [IMG] I like the way it folds. You can get a gras box if you want.. I don't think I would want one, this reminds me of my very 1st lawn mower of 40 yrs ago & even then it was 2nd hand & I had it for another 20yrs before it finally died... Ahhhhhh Nostalgia is it..??? :hehe:

    Hi Patricia,
OK just realised about the rear collection box. These are not all cylinder mowers, but..... They do have the rear roller for stripes if that is what you are after.. :dh::hehe:
That seams to make them more expensive & less choice, but I did find these.. This one has a central collection box, but be wary I have found it priced from £95 - £135 so I would shop around..
[IMG] Flymo Roller mower compact 340
34cms blade. 5 cutting heights (20-75mm). 1500W motor. 29-litre grass box. Rear roller for stripes.

Otherwise Patricia there is the Qualcast Elan 32..

    Bosch Asm32..

Or there is the Heyter Spirit 41 as mentioned earlier..

Hi Pat i have recently ,within the past 4 weeks purchased the QUALCAST CONCORDE 32 ELECTRIC CYLINDER LAWNMOWER with the back roller and front collection box. this is the lawn mower
MARLEY FARLEY described in his post and it looks, the creme de la creme in my expectations. i have not used the machine yet ,due to the strange weather but i think it will meet my requirements :thumb:. i had a rotory mowers for a number of years ,never did like it.
i was trying to get the two shades on my lawn ,like a bowling green, could never get it.
here is hoping when the weather improves i will achieve this with my new lawnmower:thumb:
    music.
