    Hi,

I've a tall square pot, about 45cm wide. I've placed it outside my gate and filled it with soil ready to plant.

I'd like to plant it up for winter, which I know is a few months away. It's on a north facing wall, exposed to high winds.

Any suggestions of what plants & bulbs will be suitable to plant a winter colourful display please?

Violas look lovely in pots and will flower their little heads off from now through Spring. They can be grown in a relatively shaded position and some of them are nice and fragrant.

Keep deadheading to keep the blooms coming.
