    Hi All

Should I plant my Summer Cabbage deeper than they are at present in the seed trays they are about 2 to 3" high and look very slightly leggy.

    Thanks

    Dave

They will be happy being planted a bit deep. I find that Brassicas often have a curled-up stem once they are at 4-5 true leaf stage (although this year mine are all nice & upright :) ) and I plant them so that just the good top part is showing from the soil so they grow firmer, they hate rocking about.

Firm the soil well too (all that work making a nice fluffy soil patch is in vain for Brassicas! they won't heart-up unless the soil is like rock - I never understand that, it must be very hard for them to push their roots through such rock-like soil)
