I need advice from GCers please

I am after some summer flowering seeds which I can just sprinkle on the soil and let them do their thing. I saw Monty Don planting some last night and that was just what I needed to fill some gaps in my borders out front and also bring some summer colour because all the plants I have out there are spring flowering, plus I'd like to give the flying critters something to feast on :wub2:

I quite like poppies but not sure how long they flower for and would like to have colour out there from say June to August - whether that is from different varieties of one flower or from different flowers I don't mind.

Colour scheme is pinks, yellows, reds and possibly some purples and oranges.

Nothing too exotic, nothing which will require staking and nothing which is going to require lots of maintenance - and they also need to be able to planted now.

Don't ask for much do I?

    Hi

A easy one to grow and is not fussy are Calendula and hit the mark on most of the colours you are after (plus still time to sow)

Funnily enough Spruce I have just been looking at Calendula Lemon Zest :)

    I'm also looking at:

    Eschscholzia Bridal Bouquet
    Aster Bridesmaids
    Poppy Lilac Pompom
    Linum Charmer.

Don't want to go overboard so will pick three (buy two get one from from Suttons) :blue thumb:

ETA : I went for some Stocks (cos I love the smell), Eschscholzia and Linum Charmer. Will see how I get on with those.
