What is the difference with the sunflower seed heart, that you buy in the health shop and the ones sold for bird feed, health shop about £5.00 per kilo and sold for bird food £1.89 for 1.5 kilos . Are the bird food ones really unsafe for us to eat they look the same no dust etc. if the birds eat them why cant we

Usally bird food is not the same Quality as human food when tested and also bird food is handled differenty , bird food can be rejected human food
I've seen people eat carrots which go for horses which is the rejected one's that don't make it for humans, but when i've collected loads (25 tonns) there stored outside in dirty yards the wildlife has walked over them etc then you see some one just pick up a carrot and eat it, but i think if you see how somethings are made you wouldn't eat it
