Sunday night "Emergency"

    Last night Charlie was messing about with the older Springer and unfortunately caught one of Jake's front legs severing an artery.The blood was literally spurting out,so i got a tourniquet on to the leg pdq & got him to the vet.
    Bleeding had stopped by now so he stapled the wound & gave him a couple of injections,took him back tonight for more jabs.& a course of antibiotics ,but says he will be ok, go bk.a week come wed. to get staples removed.Ahh the pleasures of pets,pretty nervewracking stuff though at the time.

    Hi Gogs sorry to hear what has happened to Jake.Good job you were on hand to quickly get a tornquet onto the wound.I dread to think what would have happened to him if you hadn't been there.Yes they are all a worry at times but as they are our babies then we do what we can for them [​IMG]

    Good Luck and do keep us all posted.Have you got a photo of Jake as I don't think I have seen him before..Thanks [​IMG]

    I've just seen this Gogs. Oh, what a fright you must of had, but TG you were there and acted so quickly. DAG is right, you saved Jake's life.

    Glad to hear that he will be fine, keep us posted.

    Awwww a BIG,BIG TY to you all for your kindness & support re. Jake's dilemma .Actually the Vet did say prompt action had more than likely saved his life ,bless him he's thirteen now & needs to take life easy.
