    Took the family along to Sunderland this evening to see the illuminations. It was a nice run out. Here's a few pics.

          No reason other than to brighten the place up, and held at the same time as Blackpools
          It used to be down the main road from wearbridge to Roker park, and the caves in Roker Park were lit up with lights showing different scenes, one cave Marleys Ghost, one Alice in Wonderland, etc

            Yep, just to pretty the place up I think. And to attract people to the town to spend their money there I guess.
