 The sunflowers seeds are from our bird table. I have a pot of calla lily just outside the patio door which is about 12 feet away from the bird table and I found there were over 20 sunflowers seedlings at the back of the pot (in a bunch). We don't think it's squirrels because we never see any (we could be wrong). So we think it's birds but that must took it long time to tranport the seeds (as far as we know, birds can only hold one seed at a time??!! could be wrong again).

Anyway, I have potted the seedlings in pots. The question is: What do I do with the seedlings? Will they get through the winter? Or I have to destroy them as they won't go very far?

many thanks for any comments [IMG]

I don't think they'll get through the winter unless you take them indoors. I had sunflower seedlings all over my garden from the bird table. I do have lots of squirrels around, but I thought they'd just been scattered by birds. Can't account for the cluster though!
