This post will most likely bore our lady members senseless

I needed to cut a couple of pieces of steel tube today . Got my trusty hacksaw out - 40 years old . Can't get a good tension on the blade , so the cut was not great as it was at an angle of 30° ! New hacksaw needed I thought . My how they have come on in the last 40 years :dbgrtmb: Look what Stanley do now - below....
Plus I work for Stanley so can order it from the staff shop :hapydancsmil:

          " M " ,

I can't see why you've just gone and put " funny smilies " on the posts in this thread.

I reckon I must need a sense of humour transplant as I can't see what's so funny about a new hacksaw, or about what Sandy said

If it's something that doesn't interest you why not just ignore the thread altogether ?

That is fasinating. Wonder if they are getting marketed over here as I'd buy one. At the moment I use my pipe cutters for cutting tubing. Got a metal chop saw. And two mini/girlie hacksaws. Love my power and hand tools. Sorry to say that my tools are a mixture of brands. But I do recognize Stanley as a very highly regarded manufacturer.

Got more tools in this house than most renovation companies have.....another addiction.... :)

oh yeah, we watch to make sure that the OH returns them after each use. His AND Hers !!! :)

@HarryS of course if that hacksaw had been made at Clarington Forge, it would have been a lot better...:snorky: (and the design would have been the same as it was in 1780!) :roflol:

You are *assuming* the thread doesn't interest me ;) I found it fascinating! :heehee: :loll:

Don't worry @Anthony Rogers - we all have differing views about what amounts to amusing; it's what makes the world (and hacksaws!) a far more interesting place ;)

TBH I've hardly used a hacksaw since buying my first angle grinder about 30 years ago, apart from a 'junior hacksaw' used far enough away from mains electric and/or where using my generator/cordless tools would be too much hassle.

                        I want one.

No current need for one, but I want one....... when it comes to good tools, I am nearly as bad as I am with plants.
