Our surfiniums are becoming sticky. What does this indicate?

Hello and welcome! Surfinias and Petunias ARE sticky. If they look healthy, I think it's just their own stickyness.

Yep Surfinas (or surfnias) and all petunias are naturally sticky becoming more so in warm weather.
When you have to tray up 1000 pots of them you become sticky too.:D

It indicates you should wash your hands really well before coming and typing on your keyboard and joining in with all the fun on GC!

Welcome to the forum Hugh - hope you enjoy it here!

Thanks for your help, though I have to say that all my surfiniums are all looking a bit sick this morning - not helped by the gale yesterday!

Welcome to the forum HB. After yesterdays gales I'm surprised your surfiniums arn't airborn. I've found bits of my hanging baskets all over the garden :(
