Suspect pre-chitted potatoes

    I have just received pr-chitted Sarpo potates from T&M but the 'chits' are white and very long - and breaking off through the netting.
    Can/should I still plant them? Should I try and leave them on a window sill for a few days perhaps? I have always chitted my own before, and these do not look good to me.
