Swanage

As it 'was' a sunny morning we went for a walk around Swanage again as it's so near, it clouded over as we got there.

The Clock Tower, in honour of Duke the of Wellington erected at one end of London Bridge but became an obstruction so it was dismantled and re-erected here.

 

Lovely pictures of a place I know reasonably well now Strongy. Looks quiet and peaceful compared with a sunny August Sunday,

Strongy, I love the picture of the Oystercatcher my favourite seabird. They always seem to do a vanishing act when I'm out with my camera, I swear they know it's me coming!

 

Although we lived in Weymouth for over twenty years we hardly ever came to Swanage but now it's our nearest seaside so we come here more often. There is still a lot of Purbeck to discover.
