    thanks periwinkle, i took them at my local quarry nature reserve yesterday, i went to one side of lake and was suprised to see them they dont normally go there, so i was lucky to get them

    Lovely photos Rosa!

    Looks like that poor old Greylag Goose wanted some of the photo action too!

    He probably has a bit of an image inferiority complex next to the displaying handsome swan - but I think old Goosey is cute!

    thanks cookie,the swans came over when i was taking pics of them geese and the swans were getting into attack mode, my geese pics werent that good took a lot and going to sort out which are best so i got added bonus of the swans pics

    Beautiful photos Rosa,I do so love the gracefulness of Swans.They have always been one of my favourite birds:thmb:

    thanks kandy and pip, i love swans they are so graceful they can be bad tempered though as they love to have a go at the geese

    Where abouts in the north east is that Rosa?

    Also, you've just reminded my of my childhood school trip to Washington Wildfowl Park. I have no idea if its still there.

    Oh, and swans are indeed graceful, above the surface at least. Under the water there little legs are going ten to the dozen to achieve that graceful glide they do:)

    hi clueless the quarry nature reserve were i took these pics is 5 mins from my home, its north east uk close to whitley bay on the coast
