It is well known that Sweden is the birthplace of two of the world's greatest things. Volvo cars, and Abba.

For that reason alone, I've always wanted to go there because a country that can produce these two things has, in my opinion, done enough to impress.

But guess what I've just found out. The Rednex are also from Sweden. I thought they were yanks. So now we've got Volvos, Abba, and the Rednex. Now everyone knows Cotton Eye Joe, but if you're as yet unaccustomed to the greateness of the The Rednex, allow me to enlighten you.

I may well just up-sticks and go there. A land that created Volvo cars, Abba, The Rednex, and of course Vikings, can't be bad. And buxom blonde ladies. As I said. Worth visiting at least. I shall renew my passport asap, give Gothilda a good service, and be off.

Your need lots of money, it more expansive an the uk, but the town and city do seem clean and tidy, the people there do seem to care about there country :dbgrtmb:, and they drive on the other side of the road,

The ferry from Harwich to Gothenburb is very nice (24 Hours) but may cost more than driving but not sure

Gothilda is my special Swedish love. A few years ago I had another Swedish love called Helga. Unfortunately she passed on. It took me a few years to get over my loss. I just couldn't face another Volvo for a while because it just felt wrong, but time heals all wounds, and a lovely little (well big actually) 940 needed rehoming after her owner abandoned her in favour of a V90 (the full leathers, 3 litre model), so Gothilda came to me, and we've been ecstatically happy together ever since.

I was taking an old telly to the tip. Didn't load it as carefully as I should have, went round a corner, telly slid over, and this happened....

I dont want to tempt fate but I must defend the honour of my dear old Gotty. She's carried me and my family and my stuff for thousands of miles without issue. She is a bit excitable on slippery surfaces, but that's just the character of a lively viking battle maiden.

Even when my negligence caused her to suffer a broken window, she didn't flinch. She just soldiered on, and continues to do so.

Oh no! Some tlc is in order for her I think!

I'm quite partial to the T5, maybe it's the policing background ;) I think there's a T5 block in the mk2 Focus RS
