Swedes over winter

    Hi all.

    I've got some swedes growing here and there from this year's saved seeds (and I'm sure some have self-seeded) A couple seem to be steadily but slowly growing. Do they benefit from being earthed-up? The bulbous roots are several inches above the soil.

    No, Dave, they are meant to grow above ground, sending down a tap root.:thumb:

    Swedes do fine in winter they are used to it, like danish are :D

    Forgive me. As an italian I had a bit of a shock when reading for the first time about roast swede in an english magazine! :D

    I like roast swede put I prefer to eat my danish cold in the morning Ivory! :)
