    I read in "The Garden" magazine they are putting a ban on imports into the UK as the disease has really taken a hold in Europe so if you are thinking of getting one or two make sure you check out the source of the plant you are getting
    Chestnut blight is a plant disease caused by the ascomycete fungusCryphonectria parasitica. This pathogen has caused severe epidemics resulting in death and dieback of American sweet chestnut in North America and European sweet chestnut in continental Europe
