As the subject asks, when is it best to plant out my sweet peas, first year of growing them from seed, have so far sown them, pricked them out etc etc, they are now about 3 inchs high some a little shorter, when can they be placed outside here in central belt of Scotland ?

I was going to plant mine out this afternoon having spent all morning preparing the bed, but the rain put paid to that.
