Well i sowed mine a couple of months ago and its growing loads now. Alan Titch (tv bbc) recommended sowing his now aswell so you get more flowers in the spring.

My only problem now, is i'm growing mine in a cold frame which wont have the space to grow it and its not long until its going to be hitting the roof :( Maybe i need a thread of my own :( Its growing too fast :D

    Hi Sean,
Newbie is right if you sow the seeds within the next few months you do indeed get a more stronger plant and flowers next year.

This year was the first year for me to grow sweetpeas from seed of which I grew on my window sill and I was really surprised how they grew.

I soaked the seeds overnight first which helped them to germinate.

I think I grew them pretty late on earlier this year but that didn't stop them from going crazy as you can see from the picture!

Are any of the ones you have Sean highly scented?
If they are then you would get a wonderful fragrance every time you passed them in your garden just like I did.

Below is a helpful link to a website that knows their stuff with regard to Sweet Peas I'm sure it will help you.

I've sown quite a few in my greenhouse to give them a good start for next year. Apparently when 4 proper leaves have developed you should pinch out the growing tip for even more flowers next year. Some of mine have really taken off but I presume they will slow down when the weather turns colder.

I sowed mine in the greenhouse a few weeks ago, but when I checked them, I found that a mouse had dug them all up and eaten them! Grrr.........
I'll have to start again, but germinate them on the bedroom window sill this time!
