i wonder if anybody help advise on buying a new tablet. My wife and I currently share an iPad Air. We would like something new so that we can have one each as we did before. An iPad is anywhere from £400 up. That’s way over our budget. Can any suggest an alternative. All help will be appreciated.

Ideally a phone/tablet combination contract would be the way to go but unfortunately neither of our phone contracts are up for renewal.

    Thanks.

    G.

I bought my husband a Samsung Galaxy S2 tablet as it’s similar to his Samsung phone. He loves it. He had a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 before that. He liked that as well. You can expand the memory on both with a card.

I would. I would treat it the same as a computer. Best to be safe than sorry.

I had a tablet a few years ago, when I put my naughty pictures on it, it uploaded them straight to the internet :yikes:

Didn't find out till daughter #1 said she'd found them :thud:

My wife bought Samsung Tab A 10” 32GB. I’m not sure how much memory she thinks we’re going to need. I fired it up yesterday and so far it seems ok. I actually picked out the Lenovo mentioned above. My wife is paying for it and she chose the Samsung as she trusted the brand. I’m in no position to argue with her. It was very generous of her to do it. Bless her.

The latest Samsung tablets are a lovely job . My sister has one , I was very impressed with it. If you do need extra memory you can add a memory card. Also you have the choice of 3.5 million apps on Google play store !
Google Drive cloud storage is very impressive , 15gb free .

I had a Nexus, liked it very much until it broke unrepairably at only 18 months old, outside the warranty period. I now have an Ipad mini which is very good.

The Samsung tablets are good. I think we had the 10” originally and now have the 9”. The first one was 16GB which started to freeze due to the amount of Apps and photos on it. So bought the 9” 32GB with a 32GB card as a Christmas present. Husbands now stored his music and photos on the card

I don’t know anything about Lenovo tablets other than one of the managers where I work has one and he likes it.
