Taller plants this year?

Is it just me, or has anyone noticed that some of their plants are taller this year than before. I am trying to be positive about all this rain.

I have a Polemonium (Jacobs Ladder)where part has reached five foot. Allium christophii at a good four foot - and Helenium 'Moorhein Beauty' at five foot.

 

I agree and not just in my own garden, I have noticed other people's gardens seem to contain unusually large plants

 

Can't believe it my husband and I where just marvelling at the size of one ofour foxgloves it's huge

 

I think you are not mistaken Peter. Even here I've noticed things are growing too tall and consequently the rain and wind have flattened quite a lot and I've had to hoik them out. I chucked in a packet of Lavatera seeds which said 85cms height on the packet - these are they at the moment and still growing....... They are over 2 metres !!



Somewhere in there are my Cannas but they are being dwarfed.

 

Hi all, glad to find I was not imagining it. Kryssy - perhaps it just as well you hadn't got my packet of Maclaya cordata (plume poppy) - packet says up to 14 feet!. That could be interesting if it doubled in size.
