tangy tasting tomatoes

    hi ,i remember tasting tomatoes out of grandads greenhouse and they were lovely,the best i have ever tasted,,very tangy...shop bought tomatoes taste like water ,so does anyone know what type of tomatoe seeds i should buy to get the tangy taste..thankyou

    Have to agree with JWK regarding outdoor grown Gardener's Delight - I'm salivating just at the thought of this summer's crop!
    Three years ago I tried 'Sparta' as an under-cover crop for the first time mainly due to reading a write-up of taste comparisons in a gardening mag. I wasn't disappointed and have grown them as my main tomato crop ever since.
