Just hoping if any off our plumbing members can enlighten me. After many many years off DIYing changing many taps , just found out there are high and low pressure ones ! I presume this only effects the kitchen monobloc type?
I had a new tap fitted over 12 months ago , the hot water supply is now very poor , it was OK with the old tap. Do I have the wrong monobloc tap ? My water system is cold water from the mains riser , the hot is from the hot water tank at about 0.3 bar pressure . What do I need ?

    TIA

Interested in any answers to this Harry as we have the same problem. Bought a fancy tap from Aldi or Lidl to replace our kitchen tap, hasn't been as efficient ever since. Looks the part though lol!

Well you are in luck @Adendoll ! I have been doing my homework. There are low, medium and high pressure taps . For my system mains cold supply , gravity hot from a tank , it needs a low pressure tap. Hundreds of them here! You need to look for one that operates above 0.2bar pressure. Screwfix and others supply as well you need to look at the tap specifications.

I can remember when a tap was a TAP.
Why do they make things so difficult these days.
Just make something that works at all pressures, surely it cant be that difficult.

I think you get a similar problem with ball valves for toilet cisterns.
