...but chocolate would do at a pinch

Twice now in one week idiot drivers have tried to damage my vehicles with theirs. On Sunday a car zoomed out of a side street directly in front of my van, making me swerve violently to get control of the van, which is a high-sided little thing, and wrench all sorts of muscles.

The pain and discomfort was just easing off, when today, going to collect eldest son from his interview, some idiot female in a shiny new Corsa decided that she wasn't taking the first turning off the roundabout, shortly after steering into the exit, swerved and came out in front of me, not even signalling!!! As there was a car in the outer lane, there was no room for manoeuvere, so it had to be brakes - and everything is sore and in spasm again. :(

So, bother the great GC weigh-in - I need chocolate!!!

Oh Dendy I do feel for you, do have some chocolate and take it easy. Some drivers are frightening. One car in front of me the other day signalled to turn left but turned right, just as I was about to swing out to go around him!

So sorry to hear of your troubles. If its any consolation, in a months time it will all be right and forgotten.

I need my own tea and sympathy. Every year for the last five years my income tax has been wrong, because my tax code is wrong. This has led to threatening letters from the Inland Revenue demanding payment for tax already paid. I have spent five year trying to get them to change the tax code, but they will not do anything. In a months time this will not be all right!

Thanks Peter! Looking forward to a month from now then! :D

Looks like you've got a rather incompetent bunch at your Tax office - have you written directly to the DI? I would.....

Friend along the road received 2 letters in the same post yesterday, wth 2 different codings - BOTH WRONG!!!!

Guess what Mr D does..... But he's in a different section - doesn't deal with mere individuals - just very big businesses...

thanks, Blackthorn! :D People keep doing this sort of thing!!

That reminds me, I don't have to worry about incident number 3 - I was driving into our cul de sac yesterday afternoon, and the car in front of me went into the little layby just before my house, and as I was about to overtake it, it swung out to turn round to go out of the cul de sac!

She had the grace to realise what she'd done and to be sorry about it - the Sunday driver stuck 2 fingers up, and today's female didn't even notice!!!

Know how you feel Dendy - I had a twirp once overtook me on a roundabout when I had over one-and-a-half tons of caravan to stop. When I swerved to avoid him it threw the van sideways so hard it took the door off the fridge - and it had the lock on to keep it shut. Expensive near miss.

Pity you're not local! We have a very good cellar of Cahors red wine.... Apologies, though - we're clear out of chocolate! Hope the twinges are soon only memories! [IMG]

Let's all do exactly that! We'll declare it "Wine and Chocolate night" and enjoy it! :D

Nathan please can we have some wine-drinking smilies - we don't all drink beer! Or myabe we could just start drinking wine in those quantities? :D

    [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

H-A - incredible how stupid some people are, isn't it? And it's you left with that bill, and me with the pain, while the idiots get away scot-free (if you'll pardon the expression.....) and will probably do it again and again...... "Oh, I never have accidents, but I've seen plenty"

Oh, and with the prospect of cellarful of Cahors, I could easily be persuaded to become local, H-A - even speak the lingo!

 Oh dendy that is terrible..!!! You poor thing... I hope the pain goes soon... ;) It never ceases to amaze me how many people don't bother to look or signal before making their move...!! I had one the other day, made me slam the anchors on by shooting out of a side street... Then, proceeded to crawl along at 20mph for nearly a mile, then did a right turn straight across the path of another oncoming car...!!!  Of corse there is never a copper around when all these things happen... !!!!!

Get well soon dendy... Nice hot soak along with the wine & choccies maybe...??????? ;)
