teabag tree??

I am a new member and wish to know if anyone has heard of a teabag plant ??!! I was given a cutting which has large boat shaped pods on it (pinky green, turning papery teabag like as they dry). Does anyone know it's real name and whether you can grow straight from the pod? many thanks

hello angeleyes,ive got a tree the same in my garden,gave it the same nickname as well.the above link will give you the name,not sure about growing from seed but am gowing to give it a try.everything dies back during the winter and you are left with just a skeleton tree.good luck with the cutting.

 

It grows very easily from seed, best sown in the spring.
