Hi All. Just wondering if anyone has got and use a temp/Humidity meter?. I do not mean the type with a spike for soil. I want one for the greenhouse and inside electric propagator when it has its lid on to see percentage of humidity.

I see you can get them from just under £3 on Amazon to the skies the limit. I was thinking perhaps one with a sensor that is plugged into the unit would be best. That would keep the main unit out of the moisture, of propagator at least, and also powered by a AAA 1.5V battery rather than the button batteries.

There are so many out there no doubt most made in China so having problem choosing one. So if anyone has one that they can recommend I would be grateful.

I was also thinking for next year getting a soil temp probe for borders as I am sure the soil was colder than I thought when I planted my annuals ,would not a few seconds to check. Anyone got one of those as well? They all seem pretty much the same design & price to me so again not sure if the cheaper "Fleebay" specials are worth buying.

    Thank you

I've got some Oregon Scientific units in my greenhouses, you pays your money with this sort of thing. If you want something to last I'd pay a bit more than £3. Mine uses two AAAs which easily last all year.

JWK. Thanks for your input. I agree the £3 models will probably last about a week!! I like to buy once not twice. Looked at the Oregon Scientific and they look good. I think something around the £35 mark would for my use would be about right.
