    Grand day out today over at the Temple Newsam garden just a few miles from Leeds city centre.
    The Rhododendrons where nearly at their best with amazing colours.
    Rather than post all the pictures here on GC and other places I subscribe to I have created a slide show over at "Capneys Images"

      Thanks Capney, I really enjoyed watching the slide show. As you said the colours are stunning. It's a place I've never visited I must admit, but I put it on my wish list.:D:thumbsup::happydance:

      Robert - thanks for the reminder. I had been meaning to go (its only a short distance away) but had forgotten, and assumed they were over.

      Temple Newsam is a really nice place to visit. Leeds parks department has a number of national collections and they are nearly all based there. As well as the house, park and Rhodies there is a big walled garden and a superb, very long, greenhouse.
