Tenacity in towns

    The way that wild flowers find places to grow in town always impresses. This is white campion by a busy roundabout. It hybridises with red campion to give us pink campion.

    This dovesfoot cranesbill has found a niche on very new and hostile development where it would seem that nothing could grow.

    Between a concrete post and wooden fencing on a major road, this ground-ivy does its best too.

    [​IMG] Lovely pics Hornbeam. Amazing what nature can achieve isn't it? I shall watch out for wild flowers around town in future.

    Im always amazed at buddleia growing out of walls half way up old empty buildings!
