Lorem ipsum text is as woo says just gibberish, but with a function. It's used in the printing and repro industry to fill areas of print etc as pages are setup, during the pre press period. I worked in that industry for a number of years so always use it for any text I need to test with.

Chief Beverage officer is a title I gave myself during those print years when visiting exhibitions or shows etc for registration at those places. If I had put any of my actual job titles down at reg time such as platemaker or quality control etc, I would have been inundated with junk mail and phone calls due to that. (Sales calls)

Beverage was tea, officer in charge of tea, and Chief because there is generally only ever one tea boy.:snork:

Strange, but TyPhoo or PG (other manufacturers are available) never contacted me !

    Steve...:)

Yes I recognised that it was partly in latin. I did attempt a google translation - something about vitality and obesity.

It's actually a plagiarism from Cicero (had to do it at school) but it's been jumbled up to purposely make it nonsense and to be used as a filler.

The trouble with using Jabberwocky (one of my favourites) is that most of the words have now been accepted into the English language. :blue thumb: As Carroll used function words with them the whole thing sounds as though it's saying something.

The idea of 'Lorem ipsum' is to just be a test for the printing and page design. They don't want you thinking about any meaning. :)
