Just got word from my son and daughter in law in Bangkok that they are moving out because of the floods.
He has sent pictures and its truly not good out there.
They have had to shut down the busines as well, but at least that is not flooded yet.
Its stated that a 1/3rd of the country is under water, and my son says the smell from the leading edge of the water is horrendous.
They have moved what the can upstairs and have all fingers and toes crossed.
    Sounds grim.

From what I have seen Robert, it is grim, I hope their business won't be affected.

Just heard they have left Bangkok and heading North towards the daughter in laws village way up North and well out of the floods. They can attend to their rubber trees while they are up there. Its over 400 miles and he says the traffic is heavy. Only to be expected.
    I hope they stay safe.

Arrived safely in the village after driving for 18 hrs ! usually takes 9
They will stay with Laddas family and tap a bit of rubber from their trees until Bangkok has recovered a bit.
We are glad they are safe

      Latest from my son..

"Latest reports have the water in our area of Bangkok at chest height and could stay for a month. Need to start thinking of a plan B."

No insurance that I know of.. that sort of thing just does not happen in Thailand. They rent the whole building so the two of them and staff got most of the equipment upstairs. Still going to be a stinking mess.
Seems theres millions of dead chickens floating down stream from the submerged farms, and just for starters with whats in the water.
