Thanks to chiltern and the people who lived here before us and probably local weeds I have a few plants I have no idea what they are.

the white flowers are on long stems with leaves that look like they came from a bulb. I thought the planter which has been ignored for 2 years in the front garden was full of weeds but now its flowered!
Think pink one I also thought was a weed until I saw some in a garden centre but didn't have a pen/paper or a good memory. the blue one has "died" due to lack of water several times in its short life so Im guessing its a hardy something.

Glad the sun has come out. everything in my garden has put on a growth spurt or produced flowers all in 1 weekend. I should go away more often.

Hi Craig, the pink one, though blurred, is a Bellis, cultivated daisy. The white one is difficult to see detail, but looks like it could belong to the Allium family, though.

The blue one looke familiar but I can't put a name to it..I'm sure someone else will come up with more suggestions.

I googled and found Allium ursinum which looks v similar but I'm not sure about the leaves.

sorry about the pictures - my camera has a dirty lens and couldn't get the fine detail.

The white flower does look like an allium. If the leaves smell really oniony when crushed, then it is an allium without a doubt!

The blue one looks a little like a flax flower, but those are not flax leaves (and it's too early)! It will annoy me now, until i know what it is! Those leaves do look familiar...
