    thanks for your replies,you all seem a friendly bunch,sorry no pun intended,thought u might like this,last summer my granddaughter was helping me in the garden,i thouht she was just picking weeds and earth.a couple of hrs after she went home she rang me to say thank u for coming for the day and would i please go and see if the snails were still in the plantpots under the apple tree,she had filled 4 pots of yes u guested it hostas,holes they were like lace curtains,now i keep my eye on her she was 7,but she does like garding,today she said can we put comfort on your plants grandma she ment comfry,which i dilute in a butt,we have a lot on our allotment

    Your granddaughter sounds a little gem - I must remember comfort for flowers - its an apt term. :D

    What a kind-hearted little girl! She gave those snails a lovely meal, didn't she?! :D And comfort for the plants is such a nice idea. [​IMG]
