I've been meaning to pick a copy of this book up for months now as I really love apples and I wanted to get to know more about them, however I have a strict policy of not spending more than £10 on a gardening book (and the more expensive ones I get as gifts :heehee:)

however I noticed what appears to be a very battered used copy going on Amazon for £8 delivered so I thought I'd finally give in and get a copy and I have to say I can't wait as it looks like a fantastic book:yay:

I also found a video of the artist painting an example on Youtube:

Anyone else own this book? or it's predecessor "The English Apple"?

I have the book and yes, it is worth even paying the full price.

Try Abe Books, Aesculus, to see if you can get the same book at a cheaper price in a good condition. I use them and they're usually very good:thumbsup::D

Amazon and the Book depository both have them at a round £14 although I've seen it before at about £12 so it does vary
      :o
