The best marginal plant?

    My vote goes to Thalia dealbata I planted this one last year, and here is its first bloom, it's over 6' tall.

    Rich, I like! I have seen these on mass at Beth Chattos and they look amazing.

    My stream bed is not quite as wet as that, and shady so not sure they would like it.

    I have just planted white and yellow scunk cabbage and loads of ligularia - a bit dull in comparison to the above!

    oh and I think I ordered the creeping gunnera, like as what you have.

    got a few other things up my sleeve that I need to plant before HE gets back too!!!!

    Pontaderia, its my favourite, unfortunately my ponds not big enough for it.

    Water Cress..easy to grow....Comes every year.....Waitrose Ã?£1-50... [​IMG] Helps to keep clear water.

    Roders, I tried some from Morrisons this year, all I got was leaves, not one single stem, complete waste of money.
    Never had this problem with Safeways. :D

    AAhhhhh!!!!!

    we spend all the time trying to get rid of it from the stream.
