The corner by our house is a good one for people to drive around thinking that there will not be any one coming the other way, seen many close shave's, lots of skid mark's so one day there will be a bang, i'm siting on wood :dbgrtmb:

Well it wasn’t HRH Prince Philip @wiseowl as he was busy getting used to the sun visor and the seat belts in his brand new Range Rover....:snorky:

How awful for your new neighbours to have that happen only a week after they moved in to the property.Wonder if anyone had CCTV cameras that would perhaps show the person running away from the scene?

I can always tell when the wind is blowing from the west. We are seven miles from Albany International Airport and directly in the line with runway 28.

I am about 40k away from the Toronto International and they built another runway, long after my area was built up, and we are battling them because some days it's nasty. This time of year when windows are not open isn't so bad but in the summer!

Gee, I hope noise wasn't what drove the Gatwick drone person to do what they did!

When the wind is from the east it is worse as they are climbing out right over the house. This guy I don't mind at all.

This little guy was catching the last afternoon rays to soak up the warmth. I recently read that as part of their survival mechanism they actually can lower their body temperature by 22 degrees at night and go into a state of semi-hibernation to conserve heat. Mother Nature takes care of her own.

Flying Scotsman this morning, would have looked good if the sun was out instead of dull grey cloud.

I was at RSPB Arne when it arrived, out on Coombe Heath by the seat with the view towards Corfe Castle (and the Osprey nesting pole), waiting for sunshine to bring the Dartford Warblers out onto the tops of the gorse bushes, when I saw the clouds of steam/smoke in the distance.
