Oh dear, have you got that today @Sheal I'm sorry I can't say it's pretty, I really hate cold weather. I hope it melts away soon for you.

 

Not just today @Michael Hewett but on and off for the last three weeks. I think it's going to be a long winter here and I'd rather have snow than rain.

 

You're the opposite to me, I actually quite enjoy rain

 

I lived on the Isle of Man for 24 years and it rains a lot there. It wears you down day after day not knowing when it's going to stop.

 

It rains a lot here too @Sheal, often for many days at a time, but I much prefer it to snow and ice.

 

Just taken this. A golden moon tonight and quite low in the sky. I normally use a tripod when taking shots of the moon, so this isn't too bad for hand held.

My wife & I saw the Moon from our bedroom window last night while it was just clearing the rooftops of some houses. It was red & I tried to take a photos but the street light outside the bedroom window drowned out the shot!

 

That's a shame @Balc. Street lights are not a problem here, being non existent.

 

Today I took a ride to the Grafton Peace Pagoda in Grafton, NY.
"In October 1985, work began on the structure soon to be called the Grafton Peace Pagoda. After 8 years of toil and struggle, the Pagoda was completed and dedicated in the fall of 1993.

Since the Japanese Nipponzan Myohoji order is not permitted to solicit money for any reason, the Pagoda was built entirely with donated labor, funds and materials. Many volunteers contributed tens of thousands of hours of labor to complete the Pagoda. Recycled materials and tools also found new life during construction of the project."

It is a beautiful peaceful place.

 

It should serve as an example to others!

 

It was constructed by those of all faiths, and some with no faith at all, just a spirit of cooperation, neighbor helping neighbor.
