    Took mother for a day out the other day, one of the things we visited was the concrete menagerie in the village of Branxton.
    This was done by Mr Johnny Fairnington in memory of his wife Mary.

    This was done by my dad while he was helping to lay concrete paths in the garden

      This is the man who's idea the garden was, it was dedicated to his wife

        That is very different from the run of the mill gardens. It reminds me of the miniature village in Southsea which was all created by one man using the same method, chicken wire and concrete. I bet the kids love this one.

        :thumb: Ace what a fabulous place & to have a family connection to it like that is wonderful.. It must be a veritable wonderland for children today too... :wink: Big & small.. :hehe: It is a bit far north for me for a day trip, but one to put in the book..
