Many thanks Steve. I've just stuck a sticky on the TV to remind us.

I just watched the first programme - oh lovely, crazy Alys what a refreshing joy she is to watch. Her willow sculptures were as eccentric as her dress sense and it doesn't look as if her hair ever goes near a comb. The footage of her as a child shows that she is a natural for the camera - non pretentious and down to earth.

Alys's garden is a delight - beautiful to look at and so much crammed in such a small space. Isabelle the dog and the chickens complete a super cast.

Good on the BBC for finding a new star to entertain us. I loved the idea of peatinis and the recipe tips - definitely something to inspire and liven up the usual dull offerings of TV gardening programmes.

    I absolutely loved it!!!

I have been struggling to 'get' Alys on Gardeners World, but I totally got what she is all about last night. Totally my kind of gardening. I had already found loads of pictures of obelisks and climbing frames to make from shoots and twigs, so I am a bit gutted that now everyone will think I got the idea from Alys' program!

I have series linked the program on my sky+ and it is undoubtedly going to be my tv highlight of the week!
