The escapee.

    Last year I had a clear out of all the houseplants which had not performed satisfactorily.

    One escaped the shredder and hid itself under the pampas grass. It lived there all through the winter, and although the leaves were red, it survived so I have planted it in the ground.

    Here it is with it's new green growth. I don't know what sort of aloe it is.

    I'm not certain [​IMG] Rich but it may be a Haworthia which is similar to an Aloe.

    Not sure but I think its Aloe Aristata.
    I've been growing it outside for quite a while, its pretty hardy, it goes brown when its suffering a bit, when its happy it puts up flower stems, mine are just coming.

    Yes, it does quite well when offsets are pushed into the crumbling mortar of an old wall. I used to have several clumps grown in this way and when carrying 4 or 5 flower spikes, they looked rather more interesting than they would if pot grown.
