Just before I left our previous home I took a couple of last minute, random photos (even though no work had been done on it during 2014). My way of remembering just how dramatic the "downsizing" actually is:

    So, from this: -

Doing well. :blue thumb: There's plenty there for you to turn it into a lovely garden. Fences look OK.

                      Where are the sinks? :)

                              Thank you :)
Fencing: if you look to the left of the chook housing, you might notice that the fencing is non-existant (12 feet of it anyway). Seems to be a weak spot. So, I'm replacing the whole length (plus across the boundary back) - sort of "marking my scent" as it were  :heehee:

Ah: sinks! Did I not capture them? Ok, basically, they are standing to attention (well, more "at ease") until they can have their permanent pitch - which is a bit of a dilemma because I'm torn between keeping them in the back (in a more permanent position), or, putting them in the front

Here they be (for now: resting!) ...

                              CIMG0014 (640x480).jpg

But, I'm also considering putting them (once treated, filled and planted - plus collecting the final pair) in the front (?)
This is what I have to "play" with (now it has been cleared of a plethora of shrubs/roots/weeds/neglect) ...
                              CIMG0042 (640x480).jpg CIMG0043 (640x480).jpg

Edwardian ground floor-to-basement front garden: current plan being - dig out 2" of topsoil (transfer to rear) fill with 2" of gravel. Place "treated" sinks in 4 corners planted with alpines, fill trough with something-or-other-yet-to-be-defined. Conflicting with .. making that whole area a dedicated, year round bulb garden of some kind :dunno: This would mean keeping sinks in rear garden and using them for: alpines, salad leaves, alpine strawberries, fantasy garden.

                              Oh: decisions; decisions; decisions!!!!! :rolleyespink:

                              Open to suggestions, as always.

@Spruce Aww, you have such a kind, kind heart! Thank you!!!! :grphg:

Well, as you may remember, Mr Fox got all my quackers earlier this year, but never got as far as my chooks - so, I have 8 of my girls remaining (and thriving!). Have to admit they are a little disappointed that they no longer have such a range to explore, but, that hasn't stopped the reliable ones laying (nor the not so reliable ones being treasured residents :heehee:) Once the new fencing is in, I will be ordering a new shed/trellis and organising "their" area (back third). But, that is sort of "all in good time, dear" stuff :heehee: (aka: Spring :rolleyespink: )

I suppose at *some* point, I ought to consider *inside* the house and making it into some sort of "home":heehee: Although, saying that, I have found a nice source of winter greenery to make Christmas decorations with ... d'ya think *that* counts as prioritising? :roflol:
