As some of you may remember we moved here last November, not the best time to start work on a garden as we don't know whats there, bulbs etc but this is what has been done so far no hard landscaping yet, just clearing and planting.
This is work in progress in the back garden and nothing is finished completely, edging or paths.

    When we moved in.
Back, trees on other side of the fence were ours so cut back to let more light in.

Lovely - Strongy. You don't hang about - thats a huge difference. :dbgrtmb:

Do you have any particular avenue that you want to go down - like palms and exotics, or just something neat to please the wife. :stirpot:

        Thanks everyone.
The curve in the border was a, to break up the straight line and b, I planted an Acacia there and brought the edge around but he Acacia died and I planted a Sophora Japonica in it's place.

The Palm bed unfortunately faces North and doesn't get any sun till about midday, I might cover the soil with a membrane and cover with slate chips and log roll edging, not sure yet.

The Fuchsias werent too difficult to dig out as the soil is sandy, the Horse Raddish behind them was harder!

The veg plot at the end is being worked on (new for us) as is the area around our garage where our new seat is going.

I haven't started on the front garden yet!!

        The work continues........

Marley, the soil here is VERY sandy, light but poor, needs adding to.

the soil looks really quite sandy...
but at least you don't get problems with rockery plants:snork: or some other fellows who like it well drained, I would buy some cistus straight away:)
