The house is still standing

    We have taken the beams down in our lounge over the weekend.
    They are not original type you get in old houses but the nasty decorative ones.
    I have always hated them , me being a minimalistic kind of person.
    My husband said, the ceiling will come down , there will be a terrible mess.
    So far so good.
    It's still in one piece. LOL
    I have been waiting ages to get it done.

    Yes, it's amazing how light the room looks already even in it's sorry state.
    It was nice in it's day. 25 years ago .
    I'm stripping the walls today, just having a break and a cuppa.
    We are having them skimmed so I can paint them.
    Had enough of papering.
    I like the plain look. Minimal no clutter few ornaments and light and bright.
    Creams beige and white. With a dash of colour and some nice art work so I can change it now and then when I get fed up.
    So the beams had to go LOL
