the importance of the right nickname/avatar

I am just curious...why did you choose your present nickname?

In my case it is that: when I think of green surroundings that make me "wow" I imagine it on the lines of Kew-Garden-heated-greenhouse style or the tropical Amazon Forest. Very green and very luxurious...so I just chose a name that conveys that - to me at least .
(having said that I do like most gardens)

 

My nickname has been my internet handle for a long time, and holds reference to a cartoon I used to watch. ((The "Lucy" part, of course, is my given name. ))
I thought about coming up with a different one when I joined, but I'm nostalgia-fond of this one so I just rolled with it.

 

I chose my current user name because that is my name (I also tell fibs)Well actually it is near to my real name....Well ever so slightly

My email is that name. I chose it, because "red" ( I have "real red hair) . And "star" because my name in Hebrew means star. so that is it. Redstar.

 

My surname starts with a T, and I tend to call my better half Mr T.. plus I like tea.. silly really .

 

Mine is the botanical name for the turquoise flowered Jade Vine, I first saw one in Singapore many decades ago. Strongylodon Macrobotrys was a shade too long!

I have always used the same handle. My name is Lori and I live in Canada.

I don't know how many times I have been at presentations, exhibitions, etc. Where people get all excited about having met me. I had a peer come back from a conference in California and some others who visited North Carolina or British Columbia etc. tell me that they were approached by several people asking if I had actually had face to face time with them...."Do you know Canadian Lori" is the mantra I get feedback about. Rather interesting. I am not special. Just stuck with my I.D. for ,,well since I've been on the net. Somewhere around 1997....I think.......

Will never be famous but sincerity and perhaps a little naivette about what the wicked old world can do to a poor old lady keeps me from worrying about my public profile.

I have a Welsh name, so it's most of the letters of that and my nickname is actually Linz

 

well my names Harry , so I cunningly added an S to the end as an incognito handle

 

I picked my name because it's what I wanted to call our new puppy, she has lived up to the meaning of it but as for me..... I'm quite dull

 

Mine is just my actual name but spelled a bit differently.

Seriously though, it is actually my real name but spelled slightly different.
