Maybe not a traditional Japanese Garden, but it's what I came up with having to keep the compressed concrete back garden.

    Timeline of doing the work.

The old shed sold and the work begins.

The new fence and gate painted and the groundwork started.

Topsoil & compost in and the Wisteria planted.

    Trellis in place.

Water feature inplace, level and worked first time.

Now that is a Top Job @clum111 :star: :star: :star:

I saw pictures of your previous gardena and wondered how you were going to translate that into your new garden: you didn't disappoint! You have captured the essence of the Japanese theme very, very well.

The water feature is perfect and it must be heavenly to sit and ponder life and its meaning when you are enclosed in there.

          Very well done! :yay:

@wiseowl Thanks for the comments, hopefully I can train the roses zig-zag way up the trellis and have a lot of blooms:)

@"M" Thanks for the comments. You're going back about 4 years there:dbgrtmb:. I loved that garden, as I had my koi pond. Can't have 1 here, as we discovered otters are now roaming around on my estate and eating the fish from people's gardens and to protect against them becomes too much. So just opted for a simple water feature  Haven't had time to sit in the garden yet lol.

@Anthony Rogers Thanks for the comments. I can't take full credit for this garden, although I designed it and planted it up. But it was my dad who built it for me, as I'm very severely disabled and can't do the manual work. He did well:dbgrtmb: So in answer to your suggestion, I wish I could do it for a living:biggrin: I could possibly design gardens for people, but I'm not qualified to do that. I wish I could do the RHS course to learn more about plants and designing, but just can't afford the fees as there's no help for adults now.

              Everyone else, :ThankYou:
