    Its been a grand year for my toms after the destruction last year of all my crop due to blight.
    I have 3 kilner jars filled with dried toms all ready for winter use.
    This is the very last fresh one.

    Ahhhh, there's something a bit sad about 'the last' anything ... until you remember there's next year's to look forward to.

    I've still got loads ripening (very, very slowly) in my greenhouse - I had thought I might pick them, but since they're still 'doing their thing' and, at about the same rate as those I have picked and put in a box with the ubiquitous banana, I'm leaving them .... for now.

    I have picked all mine and have them in the airing cupboard in a paper bag, I wanted to clear the greenhouse so i can get the staging into the new one.
