Get a cheap mouse, add a dash of whiskey, and enjoy. I like the chocolate kind from Tesco. Oh, hang on, no I meant mousse.

I used to have a pet mouse living under a pile of bricks in the garden, but I haven't seen it for ages. I fear one of the local cats might have enjoyed it.

I like mice and if one ever gets into my house it would be given a warm welcome.
Mousetraps are cruel and should join white phosphorus on the Geneva convention list of banned weapons :D

Wait till you get some come in and eat some of your food stuff, or a rat comes in and gnaws through your electrical cables (potential fire risk), I wonder how you would feel then. Like most things they are considered "cute" until they cause you grief.

I agree that snap rat / mouse traps are cruel, but they have got to be better than poison, which takes days to kill them. Then there is the smell of a dead rat (had that), oh and the maggots that are born on dead mice (had that one too)

We're definitely not into welcoming mice indoors. Last year they managed to get into the cupboard under the sink in the kitchen. So we used a humane trap. We eventually caught three and they were given a holiday in a field a mile away.

Another time, Mrs Shiney opened a little used drawer in her clinic where she keeps some papers. There was a family of mice in there, two adults and six babies, and she thinks they were as shocked as she was as they just froze. She just grabbed an adult in each hand, called me to get a box, put them, and then the babies, in it and gave them a holiday. Loads of her papers had been shredded and we had to reconstruct which ones they were.

Must have caught at least 300 while we were doing the conversion. Felt one crawl under my pillow one night, didn't move incase it bit me.

Thought i'd mouse proofed the place untill a shrew turned up in the living room recently.

I saw mice in a different light when i read, ages ago, that they're incontinent - they do their business(es) as they go about their business !!!
Not so good when they're in your house.
I wouldn't hurt one though, if i saw one - we have field mice in the garden and they're left alone ..... that is until the neighbours cat visits overnight and catches them and leaves their remains on the lawns
(my own cats don't bother with them, too lazy to get out of their own shadow !)

I have a family of Squirals that drive me mad in the garden but I still feed them...nearly got one to come into the kitchen too the other day :D
I would do the same with mice. If it wrecks the house then that's a shame il just have to try and repair the damage besides I don't like my landlord anyway!! I like mice and they are always welcome :D
