This year I have installed lights in the greenhouse and started 5 types of datura and Tepin chilli seeds which I've moved out of maternity and into the nursery propagator.

Strangely they are all doing well except Fleur de Lilac which are going a bit leggy.

I'm now trying all sorts of stuff in the maternity ropagator with a sheet of glass so I can put the light closer.

Unfortunately, Munchie has found a different use for the maternity propagator which doesn't help at all. The lid is off the nursary prop. to give them some air as it was warm in there today.

    :D

    Where there's a cat there's a way!

Serious point though, cats will bask in any convenient tray of seedlings in an open green house or cold frame. Some even like to nibble on fresh green shoots as well so make sure you always have a wire mesh screen fitted

Reminds me our cats, a few years ago, they always know the best spots. Our cats used to like to sleep on top of the boiler, one day we noticed they were not staying there for very long and on inspection I realised the boiler was getting pretty hot. I needed a new boiler.

What a clever puss to find the best and warmest place for a kip. [IMG]
