Just picked up the keys to the new house! It's a run down bungalow that we'll be gutting and extending before moving in sometime next year...

Absolutely no idea! Two things stick out though - the knackered greenhouse and the workshop, both in the wrong place. I think the greenhouse will have to be removed entirely and the workshop just moved if possible... Other than that I'll see what comes to mind over time and during the build...

Looks like a great space with lots of potential.

Its good that you can do work on the place without moving in. You can progress much quicker than if you were living there as well.

To clear my overgrown garden when we moved I bought an old Honda deck mower, then attacked any bushes brambles at 45 deg and shredded it all.
I did remove any save anything that looked like I could use, but it was deeper than most of yours as when my granddaughter stepped of the decking we lost her, we did find her again years later living under a mushroom.

                          Looking good. :blue thumb:

I would be loathe to remove such a good sized greenhouse and it just needs a few panes of glass. I see you have a fruit cage as well- and an outside hose (well, what else do gardeners look for :heehee:).

Are those three green wheelie bins? :hate-shocked:

It reminds me of when we moved in here, 47 years ago, but your place is in much better condition. :) It also took us three years to find the bottom of the garden through all the undergrowth. We then found we had chicken sheds down there - and a lovely heap of chicken manure. :dbgrtmb:

Not forgetting the asbestos garage :yikes:

I’m still trying to reconcile the greenhouse. It’s gorgeous but utterly broken; am going over later so will take more pics of it.

interior of the house is disgusting and outside wall are solid so will need everything including the ceilings stripped, new joists so we can convert the loft and walls dry lined. We can be doing this while planning goes through for the extension though (that’s today’s plan anyway!)

There’s an upside of not doing much to the garden - it lets it grow and I can see it through the season before a lot gets stripped out or moved. Fruit trees will need a bit of tlc though, they have definitely seen better days but I’d be loathe to remove them
