The perfect insect

    Hi all , can anyone identifie this insect!! I can`t find the translation from italian to English , I called the perfect insect because this insect about 2 inches long can actually fly , dig and swim and he eats any veg roots , like a mole.

          wow a slipper it`s an idea , there is an invasion of it ......it will be hard to dig them all out and use a slipper :snork:

            haaaaa ....that`s why my grandmother has so many in her land , she only have size 6 slipper :snork:.
            My girlfriend grandmother, live in Latvia , near the russian tundra , the soil it really sandy and peaty , but really rich and constantly humid as water start to emerge at 3 feet down , she is 73 and she really need to save her veg to support her all winter ......any not slipper advice would be really nice as those mole cricket are eating all at the moment :)

            You don't, you put him in a nice cage, feed him tasty root vegetables & cuddle him regularly.

              and when is fat enough , olive oil , salt and pepper

              no more horrible gabbage for winter but tasty mole cricket
