I grew Cobaea Scandens purple , cup and saucer vine ,for the first time last year. Very impressed with its growth and flowers . I am growing the Alba one this year , in fact the seeds are soaking now. Probing around for some info on them I found this Blog article , with an excellent collection of photos. Now I don't want mine to grow as big as this one !

I only had two germinating from 15 seeds last year . I soaked the seeds for 24 hours , planted them on their edge to prevent rotting just below the seed compost surface ,as per instructions. They do need heat so onto the prop they went , otherwise a radiator shelf or top of the fridge (outside ! ). Luckily two was enough they grow at an incredible rate !
Only took one photo for some reason - first flower middle of July , mingled with some Spanish flag flowers.

That looks great Harry.....I've got some Spanish Flag seeds. I'm tempted to try the cup and saucer vine with it. Good article too. :blue thumb:

I have one going on the kitchen patio at the moment. I didn't get any fruit on it last year. But here is one I had for several years on the lean-to which fruited prolifically, however, it just died after a couple of years.
